Rok Island

  Rok  island

Located  about  30 km.  from Tanoad Cape of  Lanta  yai  Island
and about 47 km. from Sala Dan pier.

                                                                                                  Route  map click

Koh Rok Nok and  Koh  Rok Nai
with only 100 metres between them.
They are counted as part of Ko Lanta archipelago.
There are almost no people living on Ko Rok,
 the islands  remain unspoiled.

Ko Rok Nok has some beautiful beaches,
Ao Man Sai Beach in particular is
Ranked in the top ten most beautiful beaches in  Thailand.
This long beach has real white powder sands and crystal clear waters,
with a fairly shallow tide rich with       fabulous corals offshore,

The best period of time snorkeling  trip to  Rok Island
is from   15 October -  end of  April  with good   weather

The beach is verdant with rainforest and mangrove tree,
and just a few steps walk into the forest enables you
to see a jungle of huge banyan trees,  A little further
brings you to another beach
named Ao Tha Lu. The sands here are shaped
and surrounded by black limestone cliffs.
Ko Rok Nai is just 100 metres away and can be easily swum across to.
One particularly beautiful  beach named Ao Sarn Chao (Spirit House Beach).

At the southern-most end of this island there is some stunning
geography and a pole mark which points   to the end of island.
Between these two islands is a snorkellers’ paradise with its’
glass-clear waters and visibility of up to 20 metres.

The long reef extends for a square mile
with both soft and hard corals.

There are no resorts on this  island, just the Ko Rok Ranger Station
and Office under the Ko Lanta National Marine Park local department here.
They can provide tents rent at a cost of around 300-700 baht
depending on size.

There is a communal restroom and toilets which are clean enough
and basic drinks can be bought at the office,
but you need to make your own provisions for food.
we recommend you take some instant food-stuffs
and/or bread  to use as staple stocks,

when you leave Ko Lanta as fishing is not allowed on the island
under National Marine Park protection rules

Rok island  is good for  a day trip snorkeling  by speed boat
which give you comfortable and have the time more on  the island

Hong Island (Krabi)

Krabi - Hong Island - Thailand

Haa Island

    Koh  Haa

 The enriched  island of Lanta

                                              Route  Map

Located  25 km. off the west coast of  Lanta Island.
The topography at Koh Haa, both above and below the surface
 is really beautiful.
All the islands have different things to offer.
Koh Haa Yai  ( the largest of the group, also known as Island 5 )
has a huge underwater cave to explore,
whilst Island 1 ( they seem to be numbered 1 - 5 )
offers some great swimming.

There is a lagoon situated in the middle of islands 2, 3 and 4.
A sandy bottom at 6m, with coral boulders
and many small reef  fish,

which makes this site ideal for introductory dives
or snorkelling if diving is not your preference.
Islands 2 and 4 are the smallest of the islands
and a nice figure of  dive can be made around.
Look out for the lionfish there,
hovering motionless with their fins
displaying an almost regal pose.
This dive site can be enjoyed by everyone
whether novice diver or experienced.
