KRABI TIP
Krabi, one of province on southern of thailand's
Andaman coast, where island seem to erupt vertically
out of the sea and secluded.
Krabi's myriad of bays and coves, have sheltered pirates,
merchants, and sea gypsies for thousands of year
and archaeological evidence indicates that krabi was
originally inhabited as early as 25,000 - 35,000 years ago !
With attractions including hot spring, rain forest national park,
mangrove, flourishing coral reefs with exotic marine life,
limestone cliffs at Railay, is one of the best place for
rock climber,
And national park that included the island paradise
of PP Island , and Lanta island,
one easily spend a weeks in krabi and leave yearning for more.
Meanwhile, with all the tourists spread out among various beach
and island, life goes on Krabi town, The somewhat sleepy province capital.
Surprisingly few tourists spend time in the charming riverside town,
whose hilly streets feature a number of cozy cafes and authentic thai cuisine
is served at outdoor riverside and night market.
" Town to most visited is Ao-nang " a seaside strip of guesthouse,
hotel, bars, restaurants , and souvenir shops that continues to grow as
tourist arrivals increase.
Ao-nang is the major launching point for boat trips to nearby islands
and Railay the isolated beach.
Tips
* Visitors are advised to make early reservations in advance
for accommodation during the peak season from late December
to early January because of the popularity of its attractions.
